My Qualifications

Arthur “Ray” Walstine, CSC, CSFP

I am an insurance and financial services professional licensed for life and health insurance by California Department of Insurance (CDI #0E37541) and securities licensed on the state level by the California Department of Corporations and federally licensed (CRD #5564351) to offer investment products by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

I specialize in advising clients in such areas as preserving assets, creating more income for retirement, risk management and legacy planning. I represent several major insurance carriers and financial institutions, “A” rated or higher, with insurance policy issuance valued in the billions of dollars and investor money under management at those same dollar levels.

EDUCATION
I was Born in New York City and attended New York public schools, graduating high school in 1957. I then entered the U.S. Army and began to pursue a college education with the United States Armed Forces Institute (USAFI) through the University of Maryland. Upon discharge, I entered City College of New York and majored in business. Due to a death in the family, continuation of my educational goals was not immediately possible.

I have continued higher educational pursuits through many varied venues, including attending
the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee studying marketing and finance. Upon entering the financial services industry, I have pursued certifications beyond the normal insurance and financial product related courses including designations of Chartered Senior Financial Planner and Certified Senior Consultant.

As an insurance and financial services professional, I have taken insurance and financial industry related courses specific to my pursuit toward licensing. In 2009, I completed the required pre-test studies for the Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses, resulting in passing both exams. All licensing requires continuing education courses in order to continue to practice.

ASSOCIATIONS
i am a member of the National Association of Professional Agents (NAPA) and the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance (AALTCI). I am certified for partnership long term care products through the California Department of Health. I am a member of the American Legion and also serve as treasurer of the Westchester Elks Lodge #2050. I have served several terms as president and treasurer of my homeowners association and have resided in this community for over 20 years.

PERSONAL
I have been married since 1989 to a professional educator in the Los Angeles Unified School District. We are both active in our church and participate in several of the ministries. I am an avid reader and together we enjoy walks and spoiling our three cats.

I am dedicated to developing lasting relationships with all my clients. I believe in helping you assess your financial goals and participate in the management of your finances. One of the benefits of working with me is my ability to provide clear, easily understood explanations of financial products and services. The personalized program that I can provide is a road map to working toward a more secure financial future.

I look forward to using my expertise to help you pursue your financial goals.

Please note that due to the frequent need to be “in the field” for meetings with existing and prospective clients, my office meetings are conducted by appointment only.
